I am not sure what the protocol is with answering comments on blogs but it was nice to recieve so many comments from people for our loss. Thanks!!!!
I have been wanting to make small wall hangings for my family members, little memorial thingies with pictures of Callum in pink with some words and things. I started to print the pictures on fabric yesterday and started rouching some ribbon and realised that I just can't do it. I can't keep looking at his picture!!!! It hurts too much. I thought this would be good to do, healing for me. Also bought scrapbooking things and can't get onto that either. I hope I will be able to do it later, maybe when it is not so raw.
I am in an RR with some close friends so I will look forward to working on those. Not like I don't have heaps of UFO's but I am best when doing something for others, don't seem to get things done when they are for me.
On a good note, I just recently bought Carole Samples Book on CQ and her set of templates. Looking forward to working with these. I read about them on Sharon's site, in a minute ago and loved the idea.

Judith, the healing process can be slow and painful, but you have your family and a wide community of friends to support you.
Don't be worried that there are aspects you can't cope with...put them to one side and do something else.Trust me,you'll go on "automatic pilot" in many things and one day the hurt is not so deep.Keep talking about your lovely boy;remember both the good, the bad,the crazy, and keep him alive in your heart forever.
Sincerely,Maureen

Judith, it will take time before the pain isn't quite so deep. Just know that those who love you are here for you. Many hugs, Judy

Judith, why don't you keep a note book handy, and just write your thoughts in it as they come. Don't journal, or set out to do anything specific each day, and don't read over what you wrote previously, just write, then when you are ready to tackle your memory quilt, you will have a book of rememberance.
This is just a suggestion, I have never had a loss like this , so this might be to painful to do at the moment too.
Thoughts are with you
Jo

What wonderful advice all these ladies give... I can only add Judith - take each day as it comes - don't expect too much from yourself and do what you need to do - whether it be cry, be angry, laugh, sing or simple reflect... You are in my thoughts...

Judith, I wrote everything down in a small journal when I lost someone close. When I go back and read it, I see how the healing process works. Slowly, but you do get to a place where things make sense again. Know that you have many friends who love you and are here for you always.Love and hugs,Pat

Don't know if you are still around the land of bloggers, just wanted to let you know I think about you often.
